Christian & mahomedan chaples on the summit of sinai

The top of Mount Sinai is reached after a two- hour climb up 3,750 steps from St. Catherine’s Monastery. Today the site where Moses received the Tablets of the Law with the Ten Commandments (Exodus 34, 1-28) is marked by a chapel built in 1934 from the material salvaged from Justinian’s earlier church erected in 532 and repeatedly destroyed.
